What Do You Get When You Combine Caring, Competence and Commitment? The Business Team of
Chris Werme and Mike Boland

For Chris and Ron, some of the best moments in the backyard of their North Grafton home are enjoyed in the company of their grandchildren.
...
One of the most meaningful compliments anyone can receive is “You have a big heart.” There’s no question that this accolade applies to Chris Werme (pronounced Wer-mee). How big is her heart? Big enough to care for more than 50 kids. Over the years, she and her husband, Ron, have nurtured scores of foster children—from infants to teenagers—offering them shelter and love in the Werme home.

Open Doors, Open Hearts
Ask Chris about this longtime practice of open doors and open hearts, and she’ll downplay the obvious element of generosity. Still, she reveals: “I love giving people an opportunity to experience family in a positive way, to enjoy the simple things of family life. We have our own children,” she continues, “but each one of those kids has touched our lives and will always be part of us.” It’s a statement that illuminates a big heart and an incredibly caring nature. Her family members, friends, business associates and others who know Chris will confirm that, personally and professionally, she’s the epitome of caring.

Favored Pastimes
These days, when she’s not caring for the needs of her business clients, Chris can most often be found in the company of loved ones. She and Ron definitely enjoy getting away in their RV—frequently with any number of children and grandchildren in tow. The forays range from quick day trips to more ambitious adventures with destinations such as Florida and Montana (where daughter Kristen lives). Boating at her parents’ place in Westerly, Rhode Island, is another favorite pastime. But she feels most at home in Worcester County. It’s where she was born, where she grew up, where she’s lived all of her life.

Among the things Chris’ clients appreciate most about her is that she honestly cares about their home sale or purchase.
...
Intensely Caring Approach
It seems completely appropriate, then, that Worcester County is the stage for Chris’ successful career in real estate. The fact that she knows the area so well—the city itself and surrounding towns, school districts, services, amenities and more—is one key to that success. But even more, it’s Chris’ intensely caring nature that sets her apart from others in the field. “I’ll do everything in my power to make sure my clients are completely satisfied with the outcome of their home sale or purchase,” she declares. “That means giving my bests efforts every step of the way.” The pledge she makes to everyone she serves: “I’m with you from beginning to end.”

Completely Committed
This heartfelt pledge gives Chris’ clients a solid sense of security, whether they’re selling or buying. From the outset, they sense that she’s completely committed to their transaction. She demonstrates that every step of the way, from initial conversation through frequent updates to successful completion of the transaction. Thanks to her upbringing and natural inclination to care, Chris is especially sensitive to her clients’ needs and expectations. As a result, she’s highly adept at creating a uniquely caring approach for each home sale or purchase she handles. And clients relocating here benefit from this lifelong resident’s comprehensive knowledge of all the area has to offer.

Most people wouldn’t dream of working with their mother-in-law.
But like her clients attest, it’s always easy to work with Chris Werme. Meet Mike Boland, the newest addition to Chris’s real estate team.

Mike Boland happens to be Chris Werme’s son-in-law, but that’s not the real reason she invited him to join her real estate team. Mike brings more than 15 years of corporate sales experience to the team and negotiation skills perfectly suited to real estate. He also possesses a keen eye for details, ensuring that things are done right throughout every step of your transaction. Like Chris, he’s a Worcester County expert who’s called this area home his entire life. Quite simply, Mike thrives on the challenge of helping people with such an important investment – buying or selling a home.

When he’s not working, Mike and his wife cherish quality time spent with their three children – and family in general. Chris feels very fortunate to have the type of relationship with her son-in-law that allows the two of them to work together seamlessly, and she’s sure her valued clients will benefit from Mike’s addition.

“I’m not content doing things halfway. I pride myself on giving my all and always doing the best I can no matter what I’m doing.”
– Mike Boland
